Idaho Indulgences: Places to Eat in Idaho
One of the best things about traveling is the different places you get to see, discovering the culture and the most important thing; the food.
If you guys are reading this blog; most likely it's because you came from my last recent article where I wrote about a Day Trip To Stanley. Now we'll get the chance to talk about all the delicious food in my recent travels to Idaho, from Stanley to Boise. After arriving in Boise Idaho our first stop was in downtown Boise; where we went to a cute little cafe shop called Snake River Tea. Since I've been on this trip I've been on a boba tea kick, so of course it was a must.
Afterwards we went for some food because I was ridiculously hungry (like no time for jokes; must get food in stomach now) since it was a Tuesday and we all know what happens on Tuesday's we went for some tacos and found this awesome little restaurant called the Funky Taco.
The food here is reasonably priced and very delicious, they also have a spicy mango sauce that you can add onto the taco to give just the right amount of kick. If the La croy drinks are your thing then your definitely at the right place.
The next day we went on a mini road trip, we ended our adventure in the town of Stanley and after all of that hiking we were starving. So we decided to stop for something to eat, at a place called Mountain Village restaurant and their food was amazing; I ordered one of the house specials which was the local burger and delicious fries. I mean we are in Idaho and I believe they know a thing or two about potatoes; I believe I’ve had the best fries yet, from here.
Also if you guys ever been to Disney World and saw Frontier-land I think this is where they got their inspiration, or the other way around. Because it's like an exact replica of frontier land and the fact that they had deer heads and mountain lions on the walls. (that I thought were fake but they're actually real) It gives a feeling of being back in time in the old west; I mean the bar was still called a Saloon, it's so cool.
If you have a sweet tooth the Goody's candy store in Hyde Park is the place to be.
They have loads of different types of chocolate that you can choose from; different types of Italian sodas, cotton candy and other kind of sweet snacks everywhere you turn. Not into sweets? there are loads of different restaurants to choose from; as well as shops I recommend checking out Hide and Seek, everything in there is so pleasing to the eyes; ok so we got a little side track, back to the food.
Are you a coffee lover?
Now I know a lot of you guys or should I say most people are coffee lovers. I'm kind of a tea drinker but this place serves both; it also has a bar so if you're not into coffee or tea, then wine is highly recommend. Caffeina is a cafe located about 10 minutes off the Green Belt River bike trail and about maybe a 15 to 20-minute walk.
This place has a nice Scandinavian industrial wood Style; its very unique and you can either come here to work or just relax and talk with your friends. This Cafe also brew their own coffee so you will see a huge coffee brew machine inside.
Its absolutely beautiful, they have different types of teas and coffee as well as different types of wine I totally recommend this place if you guys ever are looking for a very cute local coffee shop.
That’s it for now on Idaho Indulgences I hope you found this blog helpful on your trip to Idaho.
